The iQOO brand held an event today in India, which was for the introduction of the Neo 7 Pro smartphone. The device comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 120W charging and a 50 MP main camera. If all these features look familiar, as well as the design, that is because this is the iQOO Neo7 Racing, relaunched for the international audiences.
During the event, the vivo-owned brand was heavily advertised with its “dual chip power,” which has a dedicated independent gaming chip. It extrapolates frames during gaming; even apps capped at 90 fps can be extrapolated to 120 fps on the iQOO Neo 7 Pro. The GPU rendering reduces power consumption and provides “consistently high frame rates for uninterrupted gaming”. The brand did not reveal any technical details about the chip on stage. The phone has a 50 MP main camera with Samsung GN5 sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide-angle shooter and a 2 MP macro snapper. The selfie shooter has a 16 MP sensor sitting inside a punch hole.
The 6.78” AMOLED screen comes with Full HD+ resolution, and iQOO promised 1300 nits brightness. It also supports 120 Hz refresh rate and 2160 Hz PWM and is HDR10+ certified. The one and only difference to the Neo7 Racinf is the user interface - the iQOO Neo 7 Pro comes with Funtouch 13 on top of Android 13. New or not, this phone does impress with its 120W charging for the 5,000 mAh battery that charges the phone from 0 to 50% in eight minutes. There is also the largest-ever vapor chamber in an iQOO smartphone to keep temperatures low, so performance or fast charging will not harm the device in the long term.
